Other Building Information	Constructed over the course of a decade, the Wehr Life Science Building, the Todd Wehr Chemistry Building, and the William Wehr Physics Building together form what was referred to as the Wehr Science Center.
Named For	Named for C. Frederic (Todd) Wehr, a Milwaukee native who served as president and chairman of the board of the Wehr Steel Company. Wehr contributed $2.25 million to Marquette in 1965 for the purpose of enriching science education. The first person named “Founder of the University” at Marquette, a rarely-granted title of the Society of Jesus, Wehr was also awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree in 1965 for his recognition of the importance of science and its application to human progress.
